Tour Journal- PhiLLy

Philly warmed my heart but froze my ass off :)

Ok so here’s a funny story…..well it’s funny now;

So, after a nice couple days back home in NY we set off for Philly.  After loading my suitcase into the van, assuming my bf was going to put his case in after me, I closed the back door partially.  Didn’t think anything of it until a few hours later when we got to our hotel and we were loading our stuff in.

Where is my suitcase? GONE! we’re all trying to figure out what happened and I’m swearing on my life that I put it in the back.  I start to panic as I realize I’ve got a couple hours until the show and I’m basically wearing pajamas.  Not to mention all of my best shit is in there!!!  As I start to freak out, I check my phone and MERCY ME there is an email from someone regarding my luggage!

Turns out as we were leaving Williamsburg my suitcase flew out the back door(which must have slammed shut later) and some guy from the frickin’ BLUE MAN GROUP rescues it and leaves it at a family run pizza place a block from my apartment! WTF?!! Fortunately,  I had a tag on my bag with my info.

I was completely blown away and so unbelievably grateful for this honest and kind man!

The bad part was I had nothing to wear for the show so I had to scramble around some shops and finally managed to throw something together resulting in a somewhat odd ensemble but perhaps better than showing up on stage in my pj’s and bf’s sweater.

Despite the slightly stressful afternoon, I had a great show and loved the crowd!  I got to meet lots of great people after my set and they were all super sweet!

These girls were hilarious! One of them ran up to me and screamed “I’M THE CRAZIEST PERSON YOU’LL EVER MEET!!!  haha I think she may be right!

Yes, I read my fan mail :) thanks Miss Caroline!

Mad love for my street team homegirl!

Next day, slept in…got myself nice and rested for the second show!  Once again the Philly crowds proved to be big hearted and wonderful!

Backstage warming up….

My good friend Adam Blackstone(who played bass on my record) came to the show too which was a treat since I haven’t seen him since we were in the studio!

The show…

Jay Frederick groovin’ on the drums…

Meeting some sweet fans after….

Thanks for a wonderful time Philly!  Look forward to being back there really soon!
